Iris Ohyama AZRSD-17A-B: Is it right for your apartment?

The Iris Ohyama AZRSD-17A-B is a slim 170L refrigerator designed for single-person households in Japan. With a width of approximately 44.4cm, it is engineered to fit into small rooms, such as 1R apartments, without taking up excessive floor space [S1]. For those who cook at home, it features a 12.8L vegetable compartment located in the middle of the unit [S1]. This placement allows for easy access without bending over, and the high-humidity setting is designed to prevent vegetables from drying out [S1]. The total capacity is split between a 120L fridge and a 50L freezer [S1]. The interior utilizes glass shelves to minimize odor transfer and make cleaning easier [S1]. Buyers should note that this is a 'direct cooling' (直冷式) model, which typically requires manual defrosting. Additionally, it is a right-hand opening model, so you must verify that your installation space allows the door to swing open to the right [S1].
